St Mellons might look calm from the outside, but try moving a three-bed semi near Hendre Lake Park and you’ll discover chaos in disguise 🚚. Today’s test? Endless cul-de-sacs. My satnav had a nervous breakdown, and I swear I saw the same roundabout three times ⛔.
Once I finally arrived, the job was classic: wardrobes up tight stairs, boxes of “random stuff” (aka bricks in disguise), and a sofa that refused to play nice 🛑. Still, spirits stayed high with a quick caffeine hit at Costa in the St Mellons Retail Park ☕.
Traffic built up by Newport Road, but I managed to sneak through before the worst of it. The best moment? A neighbour turned up with samosas from the local takeaway 🍴 – pure lifesaver. By evening, as the sun set over Hendre Lake 🦆, I was done. St Mellons might be a maze, but at least it’s a maze full of friendly faces.
