Van & I covers the whole area — from the lanes around St Brides Road to the open stretches towards Peterstone Wentlooge and Marshfield. Whether you’re in a quiet farmhouse, a new-build on the edge of the village, or tucked away down a narrow lane, I can get there (and yes, I’ve reversed out of tighter spots).
I’ve collected furniture from Lamby Way Industrial Estate, helped with house moves near St Brides Church, and hauled garden gear across the Levels. In a rural area like this, knowing the back roads, flood risks, and where you can actually park a van without sinking is half the battle.
From marketplace collections and tip runs to full clearances and small removals, I offer friendly, flexible help without the faff. I work at short notice, handle awkward loads, and I’m used to jobs where the sat-nav throws in the towel.
Send me a quick message via the homepage or the contact link in the menu — I’ll get back to you promptly.
Not your typical Cardiff job – today’s removals took me out to the flatlands of St Brides and Wentlooge 🌾. Wide skies, country lanes, and the odd tractor to dodge 🛻. The challenge wasn’t traffic (for once) but mud. Lots of it. Carrying a heavy oak dresser through a farmyard while dodging puddles is like a comedy sketch waiting to happen 🚚💦.
The house overlooked the Severn Estuary 🌊, which made each tea break feel like a mini-retreat. Still, manoeuvring appliances through a conservatory full of plants and garden gnomes was trickier than expected 🛑. Half the load felt like it belonged in a garden centre.
By lunchtime, I rewarded myself with a detour to Cefn Mably Arms for a cheeky sandwich 🍺🥪. The final hurdle? Squeezing an upright piano into a barn-conversion doorway. After three angles, two bruised elbows, and one neighbour offering “helpful” advice, we cracked it. Moving in Wentlooge is muddy, quirky, and oddly peaceful – unlike anywhere else in Cardiff.
