Ely removals? Expect noise, traffic, and tight squeezes. Today’s job was off Grand Avenue 🚚, where the streets are buzzing with life. My first challenge? Competing with the bin lorry for space ⛔ – spoiler, I lost.
The flat was on the top floor, naturally, and the staircase had the dimensions of a broom cupboard 🛑. After much twisting and turning, the wardrobe went up… minus a few chunks of plaster.
Midday called for a tactical retreat to Dusty’s Pizza near Cowbridge Road 🍕. Recharged, I loaded the van with everything from aquariums to oddly heavy “mystery boxes.” Rain joined in (again), making cardboard boxes sag like overcooked pasta ☔.
But the win? Getting out of Ely’s maze-like streets on the first try. Honestly, that felt like the biggest success of the day.
