Van & I is on call for transport jobs big and small — from Rest Bay to Newton Village, and everywhere in between. I regularly work along the esplanade, through Nottage, and even those tricky access spots near Sandy Bay.
I’ve shifted wardrobes from flats near John Street, picked up kayaks from the marina, and helped locals clear out garages backing onto West Park Avenue. I know where the drop-off zones are (and where seagulls tend to strike), so your job gets done fast and with minimum fuss.
From house moves and tip runs to sofa swaps and marketplace collections, I offer a friendly, flexible, no-drama van service that fits right into Porthcawl’s easygoing rhythm. Short-notice jobs are always welcome — just pop me a message.
You can reach out via the homepage or the contact link in the menu — I’ll get back to you quick as a breeze off the promenade.
There’s something about moving houses in a seaside town that feels like a holiday gone wrong 😅. Today, Porthcawl was my playground – unloading furniture just a stone’s throw from Coney Beach 🎡. The salty breeze made lifting wardrobes feel slightly less brutal, though carrying them up narrow terraces near John Street definitely tested the back muscles 🚚.
Parking? Forget it. I ended up halfway to Rest Bay 🏖️, trundling boxes down the road like a determined pack mule. Still, the highlight was sneaking a quick bag of chips from Beales 🍟 while waiting for the rain clouds (inevitable in Porthcawl) to pass. One sofa refused to fit through a Victorian doorway, and after much rotating, tipping, and muffled swearing, we finally managed it – victory! 🏆
By late afternoon, I was navigating traffic by the Grand Pavilion, humming along to the gulls’ soundtrack. It’s tough, sweaty work, but when the day ends with a sea view and sandy shoes, I can’t complain.
